Gain knowledge about the Northern Royal Albatross on a 60-minute guided tour at Taiaroa Head on New Zealand's Otago Peninsula. Learn about the birds' breeding cycle through a guide's presentation and a short film by Natural History NZ. Follow a hillside path to a glassed observatory overlooking the protected breeding colony, where you can try to spot albatrosses and other seabirds. Depending on the season, you may see nesting adults, growing chicks, or albatrosses soaring above the headland.
